This bowl was cut from a cherry plank about 24″ x 48″ x 4″ that was a gift from Dave and Betty Almstrom of Meredith NH.
After sanding through the grits (80 -> 1500), it was treated with four coats of Mahoney’s walnut oil and hand buffed.
Several views of the finished bowl: (6 3/4″ x 3 3/4″). The red color of the wood reminded
me of clay and so I left it thick to give it a “pottery” look and feel.
