Old Growth Cedar Bowl

The old growth cedar lumber (10" x 10" x 34") piece was a gift from Roger Heinen. A 10" cube was cut off one end and turned between centers. Two bowls were turned from that piece by turning tenons on each end and parting the partially turned bowls approximately 2/3 x 1/3 from the ends. This is the bigger bowl. ( 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" ). It was "wet" sanded with walnut oil + carnauba wax (from Doctor's Woodshop http://www.doctorswoodshop.com/) through all the grits out to 1200.

Gave this bowl to Luigi and Anna as a wedding present.
