This bowl was turned from a locust 4 x 4 given to me about 40 years ago by my brother Reid.
The blank was cut from a 4 x 4 and trimmed to get rid of the pith:
Started between centers and turned a tenon and reverse mounted it to cut out the inside:
All done: and buffed using the Beall Bowl Buffing system starting with
red tripoli and white diamond compound and finishing with carnauba wax: a three step process using three 2" buffing wheels mounted on an extension that
fits the threads on the headstock.
